Used to connect a handrail between fixed posts, this all-steel connector installs at either end of the rail. An exposed connector pin fits easily into a keyhole disc installed in the post. To tighten or loosen the connector, simply adjust the geared mechanism using a hex bit.
At one end of the bolt, an anchor seats in a 25mm (1") diameter by a minimum 20mm (around 3/4") recess, with the edge of the hole 25mm (1") from the end of the rail. The keyhole disc seats in a 25mm (1") diameter by 7mm (9/32") deep recess in the posts.
When tightening or loosening the connector, it should be done by hand or with a drill on low torque setting. Do not use an impact driver.
Hex bit and wood plug are included.
